David Kauer works since 2000 @ PostFinance Ltd. He was jointly responsible at the introduction of the first inhouse E-Commerce-Solution in the year 2003. As a product manager and project leader, he managed for years the further development of PostFinance’s services in the issuing and acquiring distance sales as well as the Payment-Service-Providing-Solution. In 2008 he was leading the implementation of convenient distance sales using PostFinance’s own debit card according to the Swiss EP2-standard for online shopping. In collaboration with the Swiss Railways, he afterwards led the launch of a smartphone-based One-Touch-Solution for this debit card, in order to enable consumers getting their digital train tickets by the Swiss Railway’s app in a few seconds. From 2013 to 2014 he worked as a senior product manager digital solutions on the conception, implementation and further development of digital business models such as Digital Wallets, digital loyalty programs and digital marketplaces. From 2015 to June 2017, he was heading the Product Management Value Added Services as a part of the marketing department. The team created and implemented new digital business models, which anticipate the transformation as part of the digitization and at the same time strengthened the traditional business of PostFinance. Among other things contactless payment solutions using HCE/Tokenization, NFC, BLE and optical systems such as QR-codes. Since July 2017, David acts as Lead Innovator and Member of Management heading the Digital-Transformation-Initiative MyShopping, in order to establish PostFinance as the leading digital bank in Switzerland.
